To make a breakthrough in the performance of Chinese stamps and to keep up with the world tendency to use self-adhesive stamps, this Directorate produced a set of two peony stamps in a self-adhesive format. The two stamps depict Chuang -yuan-hung and Han-kung-ch'un, drawn by Tsou I-kuei of the Ching Dynasty, and each has a denomination of 5.00.
